Samir Shah is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in investment risk and operational due diligence. Currently, Samir serves as the Head of Investment Risk and Partner at Brown Advisory, where responsibilities include overseeing operational due diligence and acting as the New York Operating Officer since January 2012. Prior experience includes serving as Director at Cadogan Management, Manager at Deloitte & Touche, Vice President of Hedge Fund Risk at Societe Generale, Long/Short Equity Analyst at Ivy Asset Management, Associate Vice President at Deutsche Bank, and Analyst at Wilshire Associates. Samir holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Syracuse University College of Law and a degree in Biochemistry from UCLA.
