Katie Thorp

Katie Thorp is a Process Mechanical Engineer at Brown and Caldwell since March 2023, bringing valuable experience from previous roles such as a Graduate Student at TU Delft | Water for Impact, where research focused on groundwater monitoring in Kumasi, Ghana. As a Fulbright Scholar, Katie completed a Master of Science degree specializing in Communication Design for Innovation with a technical focus on Water Management and has held positions such as Climate Change Adaptation Planning Intern at Deltares and Environmental Engineer I at CDM Smith. Additional expertise includes a research fellowship with the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, investigating the impacts of land use on water quality in Belize, and internships in environmental engineering and biotechnology during educational pursuits at the University of Florida and Technische Universiteit Delft. Katie's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree from Delft University of Technology.
