Jacob Smollen

Jacob Smollen is a Metro Section Editor and Podcast Co-Editor at The Brown Daily Herald, Inc. Currently overseeing reporting, scripting, and editing for city and state politics beat and the Brown Daily Herald’s podcast, the Bruno Brief. Prior to that, Jacob worked as a Senior Staff Writer and Podcast Editor, reporting on city and state politics for the Metro section. Jacob also has experience as a Research Assistant at Brown University and as a Media Education Intern at WHYY. Additionally, Jacob has interned at WHYY, Billy Penn, and The Pulse, where Jacob researched, wrote news features, and produced podcast segments on various topics. Jacob holds a Bachelor's degree in International and Public Affairs from Brown University.
