Juan Merizalde-Carrillo

Juan Merizalde-Carrillo has extensive experience in the spirits industry, currently serving as Global Director of Process Research and Development at Brown-Forman since January 2007. Juan has held various managerial and engineering roles within the company, including Distillery Manager at Old Forester and Engineering and Processing Manager overseeing whiskey and distilled spirits operations. A background in chemical engineering includes responsibilities as Project Engineer and Associate Process Research Engineer, focusing on engineering design, technology transfer, and process development. Juan earned a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Louisville, as well as completing a Lean Manufacturing diploma at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
