Gerald Denley

Chief Operating Officer at Brown Industrial Construction

Gerald Denley has extensive work experience in the construction industry. Gerald started their career in 1981 with the Mississippi State Highway Dept as part of their Co-Op Program. From there, they worked as a Field Engineer at Michael Construction Company, where they were responsible for surveying and control layout on a $21MM project.

Denley then joined Austin Bridge & Road as a Project Engineer, where they were responsible for the Geometry Control and Quality Control for a segmental project. Gerald later became a Concrete Supervisor and an Estimator/Project Manager, estimating projects for the Texas Department of Transportation and the City of San Antonio.

In 1994, Denley joined Capital Excavation as an Area Project Manager and Estimator, and then moved back to Austin Bridge & Road as a Senior Estimator. Gerald later became a Project Manager, managing a $12,750,000 project on IH-10 in San Antonio for the Texas Department of Transportation.

Denley then joined Angelo Iafrate Construction as a Project Manager, where they successfully completed a $32,000,000 reconstruction project ahead of schedule and under budget. Gerald later became a Regional Manager before moving on to JB James Construction, LLC as a Manager/Member. There, they managed and estimated all projects and was a 20% owner of the company.

Finally, Denley joined Brown Industrial Construction as the Chief Operating Officer in 2015. In this role, they managed and estimated all projects, served as the project lead on civil construction work, and had ownership of all projects.

Gerald Denley earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University, where they attended from 1980 to 1984.
