Bill Lockyer has a diverse and extensive work experience. Bill started their career as a State Assemblyman in the California State Assembly from 1973 to 1982. Bill then served as a State Senator, including being the President Pro Tempore, in the California State Senate from 1983 to 1998. In 1999, they became the Attorney General of California until 2007, and later served as the California State Treasurer from 2007 to 2014.
