Rory O'Brien

Rory O'Brien has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Their most recent position was at Brown Thomas Arnotts, where they served as the CISO + Infra & Networks Manager and Senior Networks & Security Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Musgrave, holding roles such as Ops Control Centre Manager, IT & Security Architect, and Divisional Security Lead, Cloud & Security Engineer, and IT Service Operations Analyst. Rory also gained experience at Sykes Enterprises, Inc. as a Technical Support Analyst for Sony VAIO Computers and at Core IBS as an Oracle Developer. Throughout their career, Rory has demonstrated their expertise in infrastructure and network management, cloud services, security assessments, and IT support, among other areas.

Rory O'Brien completed a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and Applied Computing from the Limerick Institute of Technology, which they attended from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their degree, Rory has obtained several certifications including AppDynamics APM 200-205 from AppDynamics in 2019, SABSA Foundation SCF from The SABSA Institute in 2019, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2018, and ITIL Foundations from PEOPLECERT in 2016.
