Elfred Anthony Pinkard

Elfred Anthony Pinkard is an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in higher education administration. Currently serving as the HBCU Presidential Fellow at Brown University and President-In-Residence at the Council of Independent Colleges, Pinkard previously held prominent roles including President, and Executive Vice President and Provost at Wilberforce University, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of academic programs and student engagement. Additional leadership experience includes Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Johnson C Smith University, and Founding Executive Director of the Institute for Capacity Building at UNCF Inc. Pinkard's earlier roles include Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at Dillard University and Director of the Office of Planning and Institutional Research at Spelman College. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education from Harvard University, a Master of Education from Howard University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Morehouse College.
