Margaret Murphy

Margaret (Maggie) Murphy serves as the Program Manager at the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies at Brown University since January 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing operations, managing budgets and grants, executing communications strategies, and supervising student employees. Prior experience includes roles as a Freelance Communications Consultant for the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America, where email campaigns and event promotions were conducted, and as Program Coordinator for the same center, assisting in developing numerous programs aligned with a $1M grant. Legislative experience includes internships in the United States Senate, where legislative research and constituent services were performed, as well as an internship with the State of Rhode Island focused on boards and commissions. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Loyola University Maryland and an LLM in Human Rights Law from Queen's University Belfast.
