Rae Cousins

Rae implements and manages processes for mass claims resolution programs. She is primarily responsible for managing claim reviewers who evaluate claims for economic damages and losses related to personal injury, and for drafting claim review policies and procedures that result in efficient resolution of claims and comply with eligibility criteria in settlement agreements. Rae manages a team of analysts and reviewers that implement quality control to ensure accurate claim results before claimants receive determinations about eligibility and payment, and she assists with designing, implementing and testing online system databases used for the resolution of mass claims.

In her role with the Deepwater Horizon Economic and Property Damage Settlement program, Rae serves as a liaison to government officials in the Gulf Coast region and testifies as a fact witness for the federal government in actions for alleged fraud. In her work on the U.S. ASR Hip Settlement program, Rae oversees the training process for educating claim reviewers on terms of the Settlement Agreement and claim review policies and procedures. Rae also assists with drafting memoranda that present administrative policies to the parties and ensures compliance with these policies in the evaluation of claims.

Rae previously organized and participated in voter registration drives in the local community. She also served as a volunteer for the Capital One/Junior Achievement Finance Park, which provides guidance to middle school students for budgeting and personal finance.
