Geoffrey Burr

Geoffrey Burr has a significant work experience history. Geoffrey started their career as the State Affairs Coordinator at Associated Builders & Contractors in 2001. Geoffrey then moved on to become the Director of Legislative Affairs at the same company from 2003 to 2006. In 2006, they joined the U.S. Department of Labor as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional Affairs and Sr. Legislative Officer until 2008.

From 2008 to 2015, Geoffrey served as the Vice President of Government Affairs at Associated Builders and Contractors. Geoffrey then worked as the Vice President of Government Affairs at Cablevision from 2015 to 2016.

In 2016, Geoffrey took on the role of Confirmation Lead, also known as the "Sherpa," to Secretary Designee and Nominee Elaine L. Chao during the Presidential Transition period. Afterwards, they joined the U.S. Department of Labor as the Special Assistant to the Secretary from January to April 2017.

Geoffrey then became the Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Transportation from April 2017 to January 2019. Currently, they are working as a Policy Director at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck since January 2019.

Geoffrey Burr attended The Potomac School from 1987 to 1995. Geoffrey then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Government from William & Mary, from 1995 to 1999.
