Of Counsel Real Estate Attorney at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck

Michael Alires has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Michael is currently working as an Of Counsel Real Estate Attorney at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck since October 2022. Prior to that, they were an Associate Real Estate Attorney at Snell & Wilmer from November 2017 to November 2022.

Before their role at Snell & Wilmer, Alires worked as an Attorney at Ballard Rawson, Chartered from October 2014 to November 2017. Michael gained valuable legal experience as a Student Attorney at the Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic at the William S. Boyd School of Law from August 2014 to May 2015, where they represented small businesses and nonprofit organizations in transactional matters.

Additionally, Alires served as a Legal Intern at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas from May 2014 to August 2014, where they drafted complex vendor contracts and assisted in developing litigation hold processes. Michael also worked as a Judicial Extern at the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Nevada from May 2013 to July 2013, where they researched complex bankruptcy issues and prepared bench memoranda for a Judge.

Earlier in their career, Alires worked as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst at Clark County School District from November 2008 to June 2012, where they utilized and created GIS files for data analysis and managed the implementation of a district-wide GIS-based initiative. Michael also gained experience as an Insurance Specialist and Marketing Analyst at American Family Insurance from February 2008 to November 2008, where they had sales, customer service, and market analysis responsibilities.

Additionally, Alires served as a College and Young Adults Pastor at South Hills Church Community from September 2006 to February 2008, where they counseled and provided support to college students and young adults. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for both legal and non-profit work.

Michael Alires completed their education with a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, specializing in Business and Transactional Law. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Lincoln Christian University from 2009 to 2011. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in General Ministry from the same university, which they obtained from 2006 to 2009. In terms of certifications, Michael Alires is a Licensed Attorney with the State Bar of Arizona (obtained in June 2021), the Colorado Supreme Court (obtained in November 2019), and the State Bar of Nevada (obtained in October 2015).
