London, United Kingdom

Job description

Head of Climate Academy

Climate Operations Team, Brunswick Group - London

The Opportunity

As Head of Brunswick’s Climate Academy, you will lead the firm’s work in equipping colleagues across the world with the necessary fluency in climate-related issues that is relevant for their own advice to our clients.

Alongside the Managing Partner of the Climate Hub, Wolfgang Blau, you will oversee the development and day-to-day management of an internal, global ‘climate fluency’ programme that aims to provide our client-facing teams on all continents with relevant knowledge about climate science, types and sources of greenhouse gas emissions, corporate disclosure and reporting frameworks, corporate net-zero alliances, international and national regulatory trends, climate communications, as well as socio-political trends that are relevant to our client’s climate strategies and commitments.  Your primary focus will be on the development and management of the Climate Academy, as well as on producing related content for internal and external publication. In addition, you will occasionally contribute to specific client mandates.

Our work in Brunswick’s Climate Operations team

The Climate Operations team is the dedicated team within Brunswick’s global Climate Hub to support all our client-facing teams on climate-specific issues. It is part of Brunswick’s ESG & Sustainable Business Practice.

We dedicate our full-time to climate issues and play a key role in shaping Brunswick’s global climate offering.

Our team delivers cutting-edge work that requires deep climate expertise, networks and credentials, supporting all business activity around climate matters, from identifying and pitching for new business opportunities, to helping existing clients navigate the complex climate landscape. We also play a key internal role, coordinating Brunswick’s global climate activity and producing intelligence for our colleagues to share with our clients, helping them to inform their business strategies.

As Brunswick is expanding its range of climate-related services, we are seeking three new senior additions to our climate operations team: this role, a Head of Policy & Regulation, and a Head of Carbon Intelligence. Together, these three roles – which sit in the Climate Operations team in London – will help to expand and deepen Brunswick’s climate-related offer to our clients, as well as to all Brunswick teams globally.
