Cynthia Meng is a Partner based in Brunswick’s Hong Kong office. Cynthia advises clients throughout greater China and Japan on strategies and strategic communications programs related to investor engagement, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism defence, restructuring, ESG, and complex capital markets issues.

Cynthia Meng is a partner at Brunswick with extensive experience in investor engagement, M&A, ESG communications, crisis and critical issue management and prevention, especially in helping corporate leaders navigate multiple stakeholder communications in the context of geopolitical challenges. She is also a senior member of the firm’s global technology, media and telecoms (TMT) practice, and financial situations group.

Cynthia Meng joined Brunswick from Credence Investment Holding, where she is the Founder and Managing Partner, advising and assisting high potential early stage technology entrepreneurs with fund raising, development strategies, and evaluating investment and M&A opportunities.

Prior to setting up her own advisory firm, Cynthia established herself as a highly ranked long standing China TMT research analyst. She worked as Managing Director, senior publishing equity research analyst on Wall Street for 11+ years, most notably with Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Jefferies, leading the coverage for Chinese internet, technology, telecom services and education companies including Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, JD.com, VIPShop, China Mobile, ZTE, New Oriental, and Tal Education. She has significant US and HK IPO experience as lead analyst for multiple US IPOs of Chinese technology and Internet companies. Cynthia graduated with an MBA in Finance, Management and Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, and completed executive education programs at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Harvard Law School.
