Davy van Hyfte

Davy Van Hyfte has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Davy began their career in 1998 as an Air Traffic Controller in the Belgian Airforce, where they worked until 2006. In 2007, they joined VLM Airlines as a Flight Operations Officer. From 2008 to 2017, Davy Van Hyfte worked at Brussels Airport Company, where they held various safety-related roles including Safety Officer, Safety Development Manager, and Safety Manager. In 2017, they took on the position of Head of Compliance and Certification at Brussels Airport Company. In 2021, they founded and became the owner of Serendip - Home Fashion & Gifts.

Davy Van Hyfte attended Koninklijk Technisch instituut Safraanberg from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Air Traffic Control. Davy has also obtained additional certifications in the field of aviation. In 2009, they received the Aviation incident and accident investigator ACI certification from Airports Council International - ACI World, and in the same year, they obtained the IATA Internal Aviation Auditor certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). In 2013, they obtained the IATA Human factors in aviation certification from IATA.
