Ted Feldman is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and general counsel roles. Currently serving as Compliance Officer, Deputy General Counsel, and Associate General Counsel at the Truth Initiative since May 2012, Ted has a diverse legal background that includes positions as Counsel at GILBERT LLP and Principal at JUST RESOLUTIONS. Previous roles encompass over a decade at GILBERT LLP, an Associate position at Dickstein Shapiro LLP, and a Litigation Management Consultant role at Pfizer Inc. Ted's early career featured associate positions at Rivkin Radler LLP and Martin, Van De Walle, Donohue, Mandracchia & McGahan LLP, along with a litigation paralegal role at Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays and Handler. Ted Feldman holds a Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theater from Binghamton University.

We speak, seek and spread the truth about tobacco through education, tobacco-control research and policy studies, and community activism and engagement.We’ve helped bring teen cigarette use down from 23 percent in2000 to 6 percent in 2016. We’re proud of that success, but our work won’t stop until we achieve a culture where all youth and young adults reject tobacco.Known previously as American Legacy Foundation, we were established as part of the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement between major U.S. tobacco companies and 46 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and five territories.
