Stijn de Smedt

Stijn De Smedt has a diverse work experience in the HR field. Stijn started their career at bofrost* as an HR Officer from April 2004 to March 2007. Stijn then joined The Brussels Airport Company in April 2007 and held various roles, including Compensation & Benefits Officer from April 2007 to September 2010, and Compensation & Benefits Manager from October 2010 to April 2012. Later on, they served as the Head of Employee Services at Brussels Airport Company from February 2015 onwards. In this role, they reported to the Chief HR & Corporate Affairs Officer and was responsible for leading the HR team and managing personnel costs. Stijn has made significant achievements in crisis management and strategic planning throughout their career.

Stijn De Smedt has a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and Management, General, which was obtained from Belgium Jobs in 2003. Prior to that, in 2002, Stijn completed a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven. Additionally, Stijn has obtained several certifications including Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) from Prosci in 2020, Design thinking from Change Designers in 2018, Compensation & Benefits Management from Vlerick Business School, and Project Management Fundamentals from Threon.
