Stéphanie LaPlante has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Stéphanie is currently the Director of professional practice, Allied Health Professionals at Bruyère since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Hôpital Montfort where they held multiple roles including Information Technology Project Manager, Covid-19 Care Clinic Manager, Manager of Nutrition Services, and Registered Dietitian. During their time as a dietitian, they collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to provide nutrition-based screening, assessment, and monitoring for hospitalized patients. Stéphanie also played a significant role in supervising and facilitating the education of nutrition interns. Stéphanie also completed a residency as an MHA Resident at Bruyère, where they gained valuable experience in management and leadership. Additionally, they worked as a Nutritionist at Centre de santé communautaire de l'Estrie and as a Teacher Assistant at Université de Moncton.
Stéphanie LaPlante, MHA, M.Sc, RD, has a strong educational background in health administration and nutrition sciences. Stéphanie obtained a Master's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned another Master's Degree in Nutrition Sciences from the Université de Moncton from 2008 to 2010. Stéphanie'sBachelor's Degree, also in Nutrition Sciences, was obtained from the Université de Moncton from 2003 to 2007.
In addition to their academic achievements, Stéphanie LaPlante holds the certification of Registered Dietitian from the College of Dietitians of Ontario, which they obtained in May 2011.
