Bill Calkins

Bill Calkins has a diverse range of work experience in software development and consulting. Bill is currently working as a Lead Mobile Developer at Bryte since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at American Family Insurance from 2015 to 2022, where they served as an iOS Tech Lead, leading a team of 5 developers to build the My Amfam iOS application. Before that, from 2001 to 2015, Bill was the President of Calkins Computer Consulting, where they were responsible for multiple iOS applications, both internal and external facing. Bill also worked at New Resources as a Software Consultant from 2000 to 2001, designing and implementing websites for clients. Additionally, they worked at Technium as a Software Consultant from 1998 to 2000, where they consulted with Tunes.com to implement web pages on the Rolling Stone Magazine website.

Bill Calkins obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating between 1988 and 1993. Bill then pursued further education and received a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Denver, studying between 1995 and 1999. In addition, Bill obtained their AWS Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2019.
