Precious Fondren

Precious Fondren is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Culture and Arts Reporter at WNYC Radio since May 2022. Previously, Fondren was a Metro reporting fellow at The New York Times, where responsibilities included covering breaking news and writing stories with a focus on New York City from June 2021 to April 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Features-Music Reporter at The Blade, where Fondren received the 2020 Touchstone Award for excellence in journalism. Additional internships at notable organizations such as the Star Tribune, KARE 11, Minnesota Public Radio, and North Metro TV provided a diverse foundation in news reporting and writing. Fondren's educational background includes attendance at the University of Minnesota and Patrick Henry High School.
