Carlos Pérez has a diverse work experience in the fields of sales, marketing, and certification services. Carlos started their career as a Visiting Professor at Academias Unitec, teaching subjects related to Telecommunications Engineering. Carlos then joined DEKRA Testing and Certification, S.A.U., where they held multiple roles including International Account Manager, Telecom Sales Manager, and Global Sales Director. In these positions, they were responsible for driving sales and marketing activities, managing sales teams, and developing market and sales plans for testing and certification services, particularly for chipsets, modules, and smartphone manufacturers, MNO operators, OEMs, ODMs, and M2M/IoT integrators. Carlos also worked as a Senior Engineer Certification Cellular at u-blox. Carlos Pérez's most recent position is at BSI, where they serve as the Global Digital & Connected Product Certification Director.
Carlos Pérez completed a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, with a specialization in Communications and Telematics, from the Universidad de Málaga from 1997 to 2003. In 2015, they attended ESIC Business & Marketing School for a Postgraduate Degree in Sales Management and Marketing. In 2016, Carlos pursued a specialization in Marketing Mix Implementation at IE Business School. Carlos furthered their marketing education by obtaining a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Certificate in Professional Marketing from Cambridge Marketing College in 2020. Carlos also completed various online certifications in marketing and related subjects, including Business Analytics, Product Marketing Foundations, and various courses on marketing strategy and implementation. Carlos is also an Affiliate Professional Member of the CIM. Prior to their university education, Carlos attended Maristas Málaga High School.
