Gary Robinson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Gary started their career as a Project Manager at Huising Environmental Consultants in 1993. Gary then co-founded Entropy International in 1996 and served as a Director until 2006. After that, they joined BSI and held various roles including VP of Entropy Business Development, VP Product Management for BSI Americas, Group e-Business Director, Director of Group Customer Insight and Engagement, and Commercial Director for Canada. Most recently, they have been the Commercial Solutions Director at BSI since 2019. In their current role, they are responsible for the EHS Solutions business and serves as a key interface with their GRC solutions development organization.
Gary Robinson attended Carleton University from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree with a specialization in Management Information Systems. In 1993 to 1994, they also studied at Erasmus University Rotterdam as part of an International Business Exchange program. In 1995 to 1996, they completed a Master of Science program at Lund University's International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics, focusing on Environmental Management and Policy. In 1996, Gary received a Certificate in Environmental Management and Technology from Cranfield University. In 2005 to 2006, they attended The University of Salford, obtaining a degree from the Institute of Directors in the Company Direction Program, which covered topics such as board/strategic decision making, finance, leading and directing change, and the role of the director. Lastly, in 2020, Gary Robinson briefly studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in Cloud & DevOps: Continuous Transformation in the field of Information Technology.
