Eleni Aplakidou is a PhD candidate in Bioinformatics at BSRC Alexander Fleming since September 2022, working in the Bioinformatics and Integrative Biology lab under Dr. Pavlopoulos. Previous experience includes roles as a Master Thesis Student in Molecular Behavioral Neurobiology and a Quality Control Analyst at DEMO Pharmaceuticals S.A. Additionally, Eleni served as a Marketing Manager at WeFor, TEDx DUTH, and a Student Run Biology Workshop. Research contributions include work on the rutabaga gene's role in footshock habituation and associative learning, and involvement in in situ hybridization studies on the Lhx7 gene. Eleni holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology from Democritus University of Thrace and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Molecular Biomedicine and Bioinnovation at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
