Maria Tsoumakidou

Maria Tsoumakidou is an experienced researcher with a diverse medical background. Currently serving as a researcher and visiting researcher at BSRC Alexander Fleming since October 2015, Maria previously worked as a certified respiratory therapist at ΥΓΕΙΑ / Hygeia Hospital and Evangelismos Hospital. Prior roles include resident doctor positions at the University General Hospital of Heraklion "PAGNI" and Venizelion General Hospital, and a postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College London. Maria holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Crete, as well as having completed post-doctoral studies at Imperial College London.
