Kate Alvear

Kate Alvear has over 25 years of work experience in various sales and leadership roles. Kate is currently the Director of Commercial Strategy at BTG Specialty Pharmaceuticals since 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Regional Sales Manager at BTG International from 2014 to 2020, where they were responsible for supporting specialty pharmaceutical products. Kate also worked as a Sales Executive at CoStar Group for a brief period in 2014. Before that, they were a Sales and Marketing Consultant at West Coast Bottles in 2013. Kate Alvear has also gained valuable experience as a Sales Representative at Johnson & Johnson, Operating Room Sales Representative at CooperSurgical, Sales Consultant at Bayer HealthCare, and Sales Consultant at Aetna. In their roles, they demonstrated strong sales skills, customer relationship management, and leadership abilities.

Kate Alvear has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from the University of Arizona, obtained between 1989 and 1991. Kate also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences with a focus in Psychology from Chapman University, earned between 2003 and 2004. Kate Alvear has additional certifications as a Registered Yoga Instructor from Yoga Alliance (obtained in 2013), AORN Operating Room Protocol, Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens in the Surgical Environment, and HIPAA Privacy and Security for Business Associates from HealthStream (all obtained in 2010), and as a Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise (obtained in 2005).
