Elizabeth Zephyrine McDonough

Elizabeth Zephyrine McDonough is an accomplished Segment Director at The Daily Show, with extensive experience in directing comedy and documentary projects. Since June 2011, Elizabeth has been a director with the Directors Guild of America, and has also worked as a Freelance Contributing Producer and Director for The New Yorker since January 2016. Elizabeth's diverse background includes acting, writing, and producing comedy content featured in major outlets such as Splitsider and The Huffington Post, as well as producing award-winning social issues videos for organizations like the UN and ACLU. Previous roles include Segment Director for Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, Comedy Central pilot projects, and Senior Video Producer at Hunter College. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Emerson College and a Graduate Certificate in Documentary Film Studies from The New School.
