BUCKELEW PROGRAMS
Lydia Arellano joined the Buckelew board in June of 2022. Lydia was born and raised in Cuba and came to live in the United States as a teenager. Her past careers include Advertising Art Director and Footwear Design. In 2009 Lydia changed careers to healthcare, following her desire to give back to her community.
Her late husband was a long-term Marin County Mental Health administrator, a firm and relentless advocate for the dignity and respect of all mental health clients. He was a strong believer in the Buckelew mission. Through their lengthy marriage, he shared this passion with Lydia and they both understood the stress factors that weigh on mental health professionals. Lydia is inspired by the selfless dedication these professionals bring to an organization such as Buckelew.
