CJ Beckstrom has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. From 2019 to the present, Beckstrom has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Buckeye Elementary School District. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2019, Beckstrom held the position of Director of Finance at the same district.
Between 2016 and 2017, Beckstrom worked as the Finance Administrator - Fiscal Compliance and Innovation at Maricopa County Education Service Agency, after serving as the Business Manager from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, from 2012 to 2014, Beckstrom worked as a Finance Business Analyst at the same agency.
Starting in 2008 and continuing until 2012, Beckstrom worked as an Education Program Specialist - Budget and Compliance at the Arizona Department of Education, following a role as an Auditor from 2007 to 2008.
In earlier roles, Beckstrom gained experience as a Research Assistant at BYU Department of Public Policy from 2005 to 2007, as well as at Murray City in 2006. Additionally, in 2005, Beckstrom completed an internship at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.
CJ Beckstrom obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brigham Young University in the years 2002 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Public Policy degree in Public Finance from Brigham Young University from 2005 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, CJ Beckstrom obtained a certification as a Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations (SFO) from ASBO International in June 2023.
