From 2019 to the present, Matthew has been Vice President of Business Systems at Buckingham Companies. Prior to this role, they served as Sr. Director of Business Systems and Ancillary Services from 2020 to 2023, and Director of IT Project Management & Ancillary Services from 2019 to 2020. In these positions, they oversaw critical IT projects, prioritized initiatives, managed budgets, and ensured alignment with company strategy.
Before joining Buckingham Companies, Matthew worked at Protective Insurance as a Senior IT Program/Project Manager in the PMO. Matthew Barbiea has an education history that includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, obtained between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, completing their studies from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute in July 2018 and an ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2017.
