Shalini Mimani

Shalini Mimani is a Trustee at Buckley Country Day School. Shalini was previously employed at Columbia University in the City of New York from October 2015 to December 2017 as the Principal Gift Officer. In this role, they managed a portfolio of principal gift level prospects and worked with University leadership and faculty to create strategies, build lasting donor relationships, solicit donors, and raise significant financial support for the University. Some of their signature gifts include collaborating closely with Columbia's former Dean of Social Science to close an investment from Atlantic Philanthropies to establish a program combatting anti-Black racism, as well as raising additional gifts to support multi-unit gifts, endowed professorships, and faculty research efforts. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director of Development for Arts & Sciences at Columbia University Office of Alumni & Development from June 2013 to October 2015, and as Associate Dean for Development at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs from September 2008 to June 2013.
