Diego Simões Silva, MPA has an extensive work experience in various organizations and roles. Diego Simões started their career in 2007 as a Youth Minister at the First Brazilian Baptist Church of Austin and later served as a Youth & College Intern at Trinity Baptist Church of San Antonio.

In 2010, Diego became an Area Manager at China Garden Chinese Restaurants, where they were responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of two restaurants. Diego Simões ensured customer service, managed food safety, trained employees, and implemented marketing strategies.

Diego then transitioned to the role of Youth Minister at the First Baptist Church of Pettus in 2011. Diego Simões oversaw the implementation of a ministry program for at-risk youths and provided leadership for the church's outreach program.

In 2012, Diego served as the Interim Director at the Baptist Student Ministry, where they facilitated the organization's activities and programs.

Diego's experience expanded beyond the religious sector when they joined Instructional Connections, LLC in 2017 as an Academic Coach, supporting students academically.

In 2019, Diego had the opportunity to work as a Fellow at the USDA. Diego Simões engaged with subject matter experts and specialists to develop Centers of Community Prosperity and strategic planning initiatives in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Diego's most recent experience includes working at Buckner International, where they held several roles. As the Missions Group Coordinator, they developed and supervised mission programs, built relationships with churches and community agencies, and ensured compliance with standards and protocols. Later, as the Domestic Missions Team Lead, Diego supported mission operations, provided humanitarian aid, and assisted in leadership and development initiatives. More recently, they served as the Director of the Family Hope Center, overseeing programmatic services and establishing relationships with service providers, donors, and volunteers. Currently, Diego is the Director of Strategic Projects at Buckner International, where they focus on extending the company's reach and revenue growth through stakeholder relationships and funding opportunities.

Diego Simões Silva, MPA, has a diverse education background spanning multiple disciplines. In 2004-2006, they obtained their High School Diploma in General Studies from Hendrickson High School. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biblical/Theological Studies from Baptist University of the Americas, completing their studies in 2008-2010.

Diego's passion for public administration and organizational management led him to pursue a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Diego Simões achieved this degree in the field of Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management during the period of 2015-2016.

In addition to their formal education, Diego Simões Silva has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In 2016, they completed the CLA Executive Leadership Module offered by the Christian Leadership Alliance. Furthermore, in 2018, Diego earned a certification in Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support from the National Family Support Network.
