Isa Torres has a varied work experience. They began their career as a Spanish Tutor at South Plains College in 2008. They then worked as an Intern at Carpenter's Church and an Intern Reporter at Lubbock Avalanche-Journal in 2010. In 2012, they took on the role of Hall Monitor at Baylor University. They also served as a Pastoral Intern at Collegiate Congregational Internship — Cooperative Baptist Fellowship from 2010 to 2014. In 2015, they became a Seminary Fellow at Baptist General Convention of Texas. They then worked as a Spiritual Life Minister at Carpenter's Church from 2016 to 2017. They proceeded to work as a Hispanic Beat Reporter at Baptist Standard Publishing from 2017 to 2020. They then joined Cliff Temple Baptist Church as a Pastoral Resident and Pastor of CTE from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of Content Development at Buckner International since December 2022.

Isa Torres obtained an Associates of Arts degree in General Studies from South Plains College from 2006 to 2009. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Print Journalism at Texas Tech University. Later on, they attended Baylor University from 2011 to 2015, where they completed a Master of Divinity degree with a focus on Missions and World Christianity.
