Liane Cornelius

Liane Cornelius, PhD, currently serves as the Global Head and Chief Cultural Diversity Equity & Inclusion Officer in Human Resources at the United Nations since August 2012, after previously holding the position of VP, Human Resources Senior Global Director for Culture, Diversity & Inclusion from 2008 to 2012. Liane has extensive experience in human resources, including roles as a Senior Executive HR Consultant for various organizations and as a Sr. Human Resources Director at the United Nations Office for Project Services. Liane has also been involved in athletics as an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Buford City School District since 2012 and has a background as a collegiate and professional track and field athlete from 1992 to 2002. Liane's academic achievements include a PhD in Sports Psychology from Syracuse University, several master's degrees in human resources and psychology, and a bachelor's degree in psychology with a focus on human resources from Long Island University.
