Job Summary
We are looking for an outgoing, motivated, Payroll Associate to join the Company’s Accounting team and report to the Payroll Manager. This role will also be responsible for processing global payroll (Australia, United Kingdom, United States) for Bugcrowd as well as processing our 401(k) and worker’s compensation data.  Additional accounting responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The successful candidate will have a "roll-up-the-sleeves'' attitude, a detailed analytical mind and be able to multitask in a very fast-paced startup environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
Process multi-state US Payroll (ADP WFN & ADP Celegro)
Process 401(k), FSA and HSA contributions
Prepare standard salary payment as well as prorated and/or retro calculation
Analyze standard and non-standard payroll elements for accuracy
Enter new hire details into system
Set up locale taxes in ADP SmartCompliance for employees in new states
Maintain and enter changes in system as they are received from 3rd party systems
Verify and approve Time & Attendance
Develop playbooks for all payroll processes
Interpret/advise on payroll tax compliance (where applicable) 
Process and reconcile GL/Journal Entries for all payroll entities 
Provide information and reports for financial audit and ad-hoc reporting requests
Manage physical mail for Payroll and Accounting
Provide Australia and UK payroll information to 3rd party payroll processor and ad hoc payroll information as needed and ensure there is a clear and consistent process that can be followed
Manage Payroll Inbox inquires 
Analyze payroll trends and identify any anomalies for Accounting Team
Develop automation within the core payroll processes 
Become a SME for payroll in ADP

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

3+ years of multi-state payroll, payroll tax, and state registration experience
Meticulous accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to handle change in a fast-paced growing company, along with “wearing multiple hats.”
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
Excellent analytical and documentation skills
Experience with ADP and ADP Celergo platforms

The provided salary details are based on US national averages and we retain the flexibility to tailor to the needs of the business. The national estimate for the current base range for the Payroll Associate position is $62,000 - $76,400
