Van Wifvat, Ph.D.

Van Wifvat, Ph.D. is an experienced professional with a diverse work background. Van has worked as a Project Manager and Client Manager for BuildMomentum.io starting in 2021. Prior to that, they worked for the United States Hydrogen Alliance as a Policy and Technology Associate and for the California State Assembly as a Legislative Aide. Van's earlier experiences include interning at the California State Senate in Senator Jim Beall's office, where they were responsible for managing five bills and pushed for SB 146 which was later signed into law. Van also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher for Advanced Power and Energy Program at UC Irvine. Van also worked as a writer for NPR and as an Engineering Co-Op for Toyota North America. Previously, they were a Technical Aide for 3M.

Van Wifvat, Ph.D. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of St. Thomas in 2013. Between 2014 and 2016, they obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UC Irvine. In 2019, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the same field of study from UC Irvine.
