Piyush Maheshwari

Piyush Maheshwari is a highly skilled software engineer and researcher currently serving as a Software Engineering Intern at Genentech, where responsibilities include designing a full stack web application for the Reliability/Asset Care Team. As a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Piyush works on advanced projects that utilize Python and Transformer models for information extraction. Previous experience includes software engineering roles at Capgemini and CUMPLE CON CAUSA, where notable contributions included developing tools for automated data processing and designing APIs. Piyush has also led initiatives in educational environments, serving as an Undergraduate Course Assistant and Vice Chair of the FreshCICS Committee, and has entrepreneurial experience from founding Tech Tribe. Piyush holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with additional training in technical interview preparation.
