As our VP Engineering, you'll be the technical heartbeat of Builder.io, driving the evolution of our platform and ensuring our technology not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our mid-market to enterprise clients. This role demands a unique blend of technical excellence, leadership, and a deep understanding of developer needs and challenges.

  • Enhance our Visual CMS and AI-powered tools, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure product offerings.
  • Drive the integration of modern frontend technologies, with a particular focus on React, into our platform.
  • Engage with our developer community, gathering insights to continuously improve developer experience (DX) and API design.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to ensure technical strategies align with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within engineering, ideally within a fast-growing tech company.
  • A strong technical foundation, with hands-on experience developing devtools and a solid understanding of API design, developer experience, and modern frontend technologies (like React).
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with product teams, providing insights and guidance on developer needs, API functionalities, and enhancing product delight.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for innovation and a relentless drive to stay ahead of the curve in the technology landscape.
  • Experience working with mid-market to enterprise-level companies, understanding their unique challenges and requirements.
