Matthew Burnett

Matthew Burnett has extensive work experience in the finance and insurance industry. Matthew currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Builders Insurance Group, a role they started in July 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Finance/Controller at the same company from May 2020 to July 2021. Before joining Builders Insurance Group, Matthew worked at The Hartford, where they held the position of Director of Financial Management (VP of Finance/Controller for Maxum) from January 2003 to May 2020. Matthew began their career as an Accounting Supervisor at MagMutual Insurance Company in July 2001 and worked there until January 2003. Additionally, they have a role at Resume since January 2003.

Matthew Burnett received a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, with a field of study in General Management Information Systems, from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1999. Prior to this, they also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the same university between 1991 and 1997. In 2001, Matthew obtained a CPA certification from the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy.
