Seth Ervin

Seth Ervin is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in product design, innovation strategy, and leadership within library services. Currently serving as Lead Product Designer at Buildertrend since October 2022, Seth specializes in creating user-centric designs in collaboration with product management and development teams. Previously, as a Design & Innovation Strategist at Duke Energy Corporation, Seth focused on advocating for digital application improvements in the Renewables and Regulated Energy business unit. A notable ten-year tenure at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library included roles such as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, where Seth led transformative initiatives like the MeckTech digital equity project, and Director of Technology and Innovation, establishing the library’s digital strategy. Seth's background is supported by advanced education in design thinking and library sciences, complemented by co-authoring a fantasy book series.
