Tammy D. has a diverse work experience in various roles. Tammy started their career as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Denise Page Hood in the United States District Court. Tammy then worked as a Senior Associate in Litigation at Lewis & Munday, P.C., where they specialized in DaimlerChrysler Import Product Liability matters. Tammy later joined Blackwell Igbanugo, P.A. as a Senior Associate in Litigation, where they managed a high volume caseload and served as a liaison between the Office of General Counsel and regional/local counsel.

In 2006, Tammy established their own law firm, T. Daniels & Associates, PLLC, where they served as the Principal Attorney. Tammy represented corporate clients in commercial real estate transactions and provided legal advice on various corporate matters.

Tammy joined the Detroit Land Bank Authority (DLBA) in 2015 as Deputy General Counsel. In this role, they managed the day-to-day operations of the legal department and recruited seasoned litigators to advance the objectives of the DLBA's Nuisance Abatement Program. Tammy later became the Demolition Director, where they led and managed a team while overseeing a significant budget.

Currently, Tammy serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Detroit Land Bank Authority. In this role, they provide leadership, direction, and management to the centralized resources and functions of the organization, working closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategic plans and policies.

Tammy D. has a strong educational background, with degrees in both law and sociology. Tammy first attended the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology. Following this, Tammy pursued higher education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from 1994 to 1997, specializing in Law.

Recently, in 2021, Tammy further expanded their knowledge and expertise by completing a DEI Certification program at the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. Tammy obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. Overall, Tammy D. has a well-rounded educational background, with a focus on law, sociology, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
