Loren Fowler-Colman M.ed.

Loren Fowler-Colman M.Ed. has a diverse work experience in the education field. Loren served as the Founder of BES from 2023. Before that, they worked at Uplift Education as the Director (Principal) of Uplift White Rock Hills starting in July 2019, and as the Dean (Assistant Principal) from June 2015 to March 2023. Loren also worked as a 4th Grade Math and Science Teacher at Richardson Independent School District from July 2011 to June 2015. Loren gained valuable experience at TNTP as a Session Instructor from June 2012 to April 2015, where they led various professional development programs. Prior to that, they worked as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Manara Academy from July 2010 to June 2011. Loren began their teaching career as a Special Education Teacher at Teach For America from June 2008 to June 2010. Loren also worked as a Substitute Teacher at Pflugerville ISD from January 2008 to June 2008, and as a Student Teacher at Leander ISD from January 2006 to January 2007.

Loren Fowler-Colman M.Ed. received a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Teaching from The University of Texas at Austin from 2003 to 2007. They later pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from Southern Methodist University, which they completed from 2015 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Loren obtained a certification in Foundations of Community Organizing from Leadership for Educational Equity in June 2023.
