Hilal Paksoy

Hilal Paksoy has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Hilal is currently working at Building Markets as the Director of Finance, Administration, and Business Development. In this role, they support the Business Development team in developing budgets and financial analysis for new proposals and opportunities. Hilal also contributes to the development of organizational financial forecasting and tracking program revenue.

Before joining Building Markets, Hilal worked as the Director of Finance and Administration at Building Markets, where they were responsible for project financial affairs. Hilal served as the legal representative of the BM Turkey Office and supervised daily finance, HR, procurement, and operational activities.

Prior to their time at Building Markets, Hilal worked as a Finance Manager at Sobiens Information Technology, where they were responsible for managing P&L, balance sheets, payroll, and project finances.

Hilal's earlier experiences include working as an Interim Accountant at SMMM KISMET CEVIKER, as the Budget Planning and Financial Controlling Manager at TIRSAN Treyler A.S., and as a Senior Finance Officer at Imperial College London.

Before that, they worked as a Senior Management Accountant at Science Museum Group and as a Management Accountant at King's College London, where they were promoted to the Senior Management Accountant level.

Earlier in their career, Hilal worked as a Financial Consultant at Blue Arrow and as an Industrial Engineer intern at Honda Türkiye A.Ş.

Hilal Paksoy's education history includes a variety of degrees and fields of study. From 1997 to 2001, they attended Kocaeli University, where they earned a 2:1 (3.3/4.0) degree in Engineering Business Management / Industrial Engineering. In 2002 to 2004, Hilal attended Lambeth College and obtained a degree in Business Studies, focusing on Business Administration and Management. Hilal then went on to study at London South Bank University from 2005 to 2008, earning a BSc in Accounting and Finance. Hilal continued their education at ACCA from 2008 to 2012, pursuing a Professional degree in Chartered Accountancy. Furthering their specialization in accounting and finance, they completed a Master's degree at Okan University from 2014 to 2015. Lastly, from 2012 to 2017, Hilal achieved a Fellowship (FCCA) from ACCA, with a focus on Accounting and Finance.
