Amanda Sweeney

Amanda Sweeney has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Amanda currently holds the position of Director of Compliance and Risk at Buildium, a role they have been in since October 2020. Before this, they served as the Senior Manager of Compliance and Risk at Buildium, starting in March 2018 and continuing until October 2020. In this role, they developed policies, processes, and workflows to meet compliance and risk regulatory requirements. Amanda also collaborated with product and development teams to design and implement necessary programs and automation efficiencies.

Prior to their time at Buildium, Amanda worked at 2Checkout, where they held various positions from 1999 to 2018. Their roles included Director of Merchant Underwriting, Underwriting Manager, Underwriting Analyst, Chargeback Specialist, and Customer Care Specialist. In these positions, Amanda managed teams, executed regulatory processes, created and implemented policies and procedures, and ensured compliance with credit card and banking regulations.

Amanda also has prior experience working at Walmart as a Cash Office Associate/CSM, at Evelyn's Fish Market as an Office Manager, at Taco Bell as a Shift Manager, and at Lincoln Lodge Retirement Residence as an Office Administrator.

Throughout their career, Amanda has demonstrated expertise in compliance and risk management, underwriting, customer service, and team management.

Amanda Sweeney began their education at Cabot High School in 1996, where they studied for two years. In 1996, they also briefly attended Alvirne High School, focusing on Accounting and Business Management. Amanda then transferred to Tolles Career and Technical Center in 1998 and completed their Business Management degree in Business Administration and Management in 1999. During this time, they also obtained their high school diploma from Hilliard Darby High School. In terms of additional certifications, Amanda achieved the AML Foundations (v2.41) certification from ACAMS in August 2019 and obtained the Internal Security Assessor (ISA) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council in May 2018.
