Hollyanne Compton has a diverse work experience with a focus on nonprofit organizations and community development. Hollyanne started their career as an intern with Catholic Charities of Syracuse, NY in 2010. From there, they held various roles including volunteer coordinator at AmeriCorps VISTA, resource development manager at Stardust Nonprofit Building Supplies, and general labor assistant at Apple Valley Builders. In 2013, they became a resource development specialist and later a resource development coordinator at Community HousingWorks. In 2014, they worked as an administrative assistant at Ultimate Staffing and then became a temporary associate at Pall Corporation. In 2015, they served as a teacher for WorldTeach. Hollyanne joined buildOn in 2017, where they held multiple positions, including partnership manager, event director and interim immersion director, special events director, and currently serves as the director of US operations. Overall, Hollyanne has gained a wide range of skills and experiences in project management, event planning, and resource development throughout their career.
Hollyanne Compton's education history includes attending altMBA in 2018, Cazenovia College from 2008 to 2011 where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International/Global Studies, and Onondaga Community College from 2006 to 2008 where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities. Hollyanne Compton also has additional certifications such as First Aid/ CPR/ AED - Infant, Child & Adult obtained from Heart Savers in June 2013, and a VISTA Blend course- Resource Development: Research and Grant Writing obtained from AmeriCorps VISTA in July 2012.
