CFO at Built-ID

Claire Lewis is currently the CFO at Built-ID. Prior to that, they were the Head of Finance at All Star Leisure Group Ltd from July 2013 to June 2015. All Star Leisure Group Ltd is a luxury restaurant and entertainment company with a portfolio of 5 venues in London (4) and the North West of England (1), with a group turnover of c £14m and 280 staff.

Claire reported directly to the Board and managed a team of three finance staff. Claire was responsible for establishing the senior executive management team, developing their business and financial awareness, and working with all areas of the business to increase financial awareness and focus. Additionally, they oversaw daily cashflow management and planning, working closely with creditors and bankers to maintain facility limits and requirements. Claire also led the business and cashflow appraisal which resulted in a successful fundraising exercise.

Other responsibilities included: production of annual budgets and rolling 5 year forecasts, bank covenant monitoring and reporting, management of the bank relationship, oversight of IT support and infrastructure across the estate, insurance liaison, establishment of full monthly Board reporting and business analysis, conducting monthly business reviews with General Managers, establishment of Credit Control practices, establishment of consistent Creditor payment terms and process cycles, finance team development and recruitment, Year End statutory accounts production (including on site audit liaison with auditors), review of stock control processes and recommendations/implementation of changes with operations, payroll processes and benefits reporting.

In addition to their finance responsibilities, Claire also served as project manager for an IT infrastructure review which included changes implementation such as switching call centre telephone systems for reservations, front of house POS systems and stock systems with the aim of moving to a fully integrated solution. Claire has extensive experience with Excel modelling, creating daily, weekly, monthly and annual cashflow forecasts, monthly management accounts information packs, and rolling 5 year forecast models including cashflow and balance sheet. Other notable achievements include the implementation of RTI and Auto Enrolment.

Claire Lewis has a BA in accountancy from the Southampton Institute and a degree from Brockworth Comprehensive School.
