Kelly Keegan

Kelly Keegan is a heart-centered human resources leader. She builds authentic cultures that attract, engage and retain in-demand talent, and she collaborates with senior leaders to help realize ambitious business objectives. Kelly approaches her work through the prism of conscious leadership, her background as a coach/consultant and her conviction in the power of self-awareness.

As the VP of People for Built In, Kelly's passion lies in helping people lay claim to their unique zones of genius, stepping into the most fully realized version of themselves. She believes this is foundational for not just individual success but organizational excellence. When individuals in a system embrace self-awareness to maximize their potential, the whole culture becomes more authentic, united and effective.

Prior to Built In, Kelly served in leadership roles in a range of corporate settings, from startups to Fortune 500s, focusing on engagement, performance management, internal communications, change management, onboarding, recruitment and more.

With more than 13 years of experience, she’s worked with such companies as VF Corporation, Victoria’s Secret, Thrillist Media Group, AEP, Networked Insights and SnackNation. In 2015, Kelly launched her own coaching and consulting business. During that tenure, she spent a year growing her business while traveling the world with Remote Year, an immersive cultural program and network for entrepreneurs.

Kelly received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from James Madison University. She lives in Chicago, her favorite city in the world, where she finds time to practice yoga and meditation.
