Jean Ndana is an experienced professional with a diverse range of expertise in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management. Jean's work experience includes serving as the Senior Corporate EHS Director at Bull Moose Tube, where they are currently employed. Prior to this role, Jean served as the Senior Regional Environment Health Safety Manager at Michigan Seamless Tubes (MST) for almost four years. During their time at MST, Jean effectively addressed deep-rooted safety issues and achieved significant improvements in safety performance, ultimately receiving the 2020 Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) Safety Innovation & Improvement Award.

Before joining MST, Jean worked as a Regional EHS Manager at AECOM, overseeing EHS aspects of five large construction projects. In this role, Jean played a hands-on role in ensuring the safety of all project participants, conducting field oversight, and leading the development and implementation of safety plans and procedures.

Jean's prior experience also includes serving as an Environment, Health, and Safety Manager at ZF Chassis Components, where they successfully improved plant efficiency and reduced OSHA incidence rates. Additionally, Jean held the position of EHS and Continuous Improvement Manager at Johnson Controls, where they achieved significant reductions in incident rates, implemented safety awareness programs, and redesigned plant layouts to optimize safety and efficiency.

With a global outlook, Jean has also held international leadership roles, including serving as EHS Director for the sub-Saharan region at Cadbury and as Sub-Region EHS Director at Perenco. In these roles, Jean successfully instilled a "safety first" mindset, improving safety cultures and reversing poor safety performance trends.

Jean Ndanda has a diverse education history with a focus on environmental health, safety management, and engineering.

In 1992, Jean obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from École Polytechnique, which they successfully completed in 1998.

In 2009, Jean obtained a certificate in SAMTRACT from NOSA, which focused on Safety, Health, and Environment. JEAN also obtained a Projects Management certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Continuing their education in the field of health, safety, and environment, Jean pursued a General Industry Certificate from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Training Institute in 2011.

Jean also holds several certifications related to their professional expertise. JEAN obtained the Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) in 2011. In the same year, they achieved the ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ-SSBB) certification. In 2009, they became a Projects Manager Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute.

Jean further enhanced their knowledge and skills by pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety Management from Oakland University, which they completed between 2013 and 2015.

In addition to their academic and professional certifications, Jean has also pursued their passion for soccer. JEAN served as the Head Coach for the National Soccer Travel Club starting from 2011. JEAN also worked part-time as a referee for soccer matches since 2008.
