Christian Hertenstein is a Partner at Bullpen Strategy Group. His deep experience leading media relations and public affairs campaigns has included representing Fortune 100 corporations, foreign sovereigns and associations. Christian’s practice has included some of Washington’s most contested issues in technology, financial services, media and healthcare.
Prior to joining Bullpen, he led media strategy for MSL Group’s Washington office, counseling a diverse client roster including the Tourism Ministries of Mexico and Japan, Kuwait Finance House, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Healthcare Transformation Task Force, the Association of Community Affiliated Plans and AMGA.
Before entering the private sector, Christian worked across the landscape of U.S. politics including managing state public affairs campaigns for Americans for Prosperity (AFP), the the flagship organization within the Koch political network. Prior to joining Americans for Prosperity, Christian served as the press secretary for Tom Ervin’s 2014 gubernatorial race in South Carolina.
