Ashlea started their career as an Associate Editor at McMurry Publishing, where they developed, wrote, and edited content for various custom magazine titles. Ashlea also worked closely with clients to develop and maintain relationships.

Ashlea then moved on to Phoenix magazine, where they held multiple roles including Managing Editor and eventually Editor in Chief. Ashlea oversaw the planning, writing, and editing of stories for the monthly general interest magazine. Additionally, they updated the website, iPhone app, and social media platforms on a daily basis.

Following their time at Phoenix magazine, Ashlea worked as a Senior Manager of Internal Communications at Whole Foods Market. In this role, they contributed to internal communication strategies and executed various communication initiatives.

In 2017, Ashlea joined Indeed.com as a Director of Employee Communications. Ashlea'sresponsibilities included overseeing the Digital Experience for employees and collaborating with the Executive Communications team to deliver clear and concise messages about the company's mission. Ashlea managed a global team, executed communication strategies, and partnered with various departments for integrated marketing campaigns.

Most recently, Ashlea joined Bumble in 2021 as the Director of Employee Communications, where they continue to utilize their expertise in internal communications.

Before their corporate roles, Ashlea worked as a Freelance Writer and Editor, covering a wide range of topics including travel, food, health, medicine, pets, real estate, local events, and politics. Ashlea has a passion for nutrition, wellness, travel, and animal welfare.

Throughout their career, Ashlea has demonstrated their ability to adapt to different industries and effectively communicate with diverse audiences.

Ashlea M. completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism from Arizona State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012.
