Clare O'Connor has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Clare started their career as a Travel writer at MTV UK, Northern & Eastern Europe, where they worked on travel guides. Clare then moved on to work as a Reporter at PRWeek UK, covering lobbying, communications, and the media. Clare later joined The Royal Gazette Limited as a Reporter, before transitioning to a role in CNN's MSc Program, Anderson Cooper 360. In 2010, they joined Forbes as a Staff Writer, where they covered topics such as wealth/billionaires, retail/e-commerce, and women entrepreneurs/workplace equality. During their time at Forbes, they wrote cover stories on notable figures including Spanx founder Sara Blakely, Oprah Winfrey's philanthropy, and Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd. Clare then moved to Bumble, where they first served as an Editorial Director, overseeing editorial content across platforms and originating the brand's content hub, The Buzz. Currently, they hold the role of Global Director of Editorial Content at Bumble, leading longform storytelling worldwide.

Clare O'Connor completed their high school education at Sherborne Girls, where they studied for GCSE and A-Levels. Clare then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and European History at the University of Pennsylvania from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they enrolled in the Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, earning a Master of Science degree in Journalism from 2009 to 2010.
